Sera Siporax Nitrat-Minus Pro 145g

Siporax Nitrate-minus Professional is a high-performance filter medium for biological nitrate breakdown, with the simultaneous breakdown of nitrite and ammonium. Denitrification is optimised and maximised by the bio-polymer sphere, which is designed to fit the Siporax ring. The degradable bio-polymer serves as a carbon source for bacteria that break down nitrate.

The bio-polymer sphere not only maximises the biological filtration performance of the unique sintered glass tube, but also extends the filter's operating life in two ways. In addition to breaking down pollutants, the sphere's special design optimises water flow, improving the transport of substances into the inner siporax ring.

sera siporax Nitrate-minus Professional is therefore a long-lasting filter medium that requires very little maintenance. It can also help reduce the frequency of water changes. Water parameters can be improved, particularly in larger and/or densely stocked community or cichlid aquariums.

Sera Siporax Nitrate-minus Professional can be combined with existing Siporax products, such as Siporax Professional, Siporax Mini Professional and Siporax Pond Professional. By providing a carbon source, it also improves pollutant breakdown in these products.

The bio-polymer spheres are gradually broken down by bacteria and dissolve over time. They can simply be replaced to replenish the carbon source.

Note: In dedicated planted aquariums or tanks with dense plant growth and high nitrogen requirements, using this filter medium may make additional NPK fertilisation (e.g. with Sera Flore 4 plant) necessary.

Dosage: 1 sphere per 15 litres (4 US gal.) of water.
