Remember Tap Water or even Rain Water, are not suited to keep fish in, without adding the right minerals and trace elements. Fish live in water which is in contact with the ground, Not Glass. In a Glass fish tank there is no way for minerals, salts or trace elements to get into the water. Which would happen naturally in a river if lake.
