Pseudotropheus Demasoni 3.5cm

Pseudotropheus Demasoni
Rating:
94% of 100

The Pseudotropheus Demasoni, also known as the Demasoni Cichlid is a vibrant and eye-catching fish that brings a burst of colour and activity to the African cichlid aquarium. Their striking appearance, relatively small size, and lively nature make them a desirable addition to a Lake Malawi aquarium or similar setup. Keep in mind, however, that these fish can be more territorial and aggressive compared to most African cichlids so careful consideration of tankmates is essential.

I recieved 5 of these little babies 5 days ago and was a little concerned about their small size when putting in with larger cichlids, but this was wasted as they go wherever they please! Have great colour for such smallish (3cm) fish. Hopefully they aren't too aggressive when they grow up to be the same size as my others! Very entertaining.

We bought two lots of these guys in two seperate orders. One when we first established our tank, and the other quite a few months later. Initially I was a little worried about having little guys in with 10-15cm cichlids, however they hold their own; are pretty daring and have GREAT colour. Over they'd definately have to be one of my fave cichlids!

  5. Thumbs up

I already had 3 of these guys in a 4 foot (with about 80kg of rock) with some Melanochromis auratus so i figured some (10) more would look great. These guys were a little on the small side but they had good colour so it made up for it. Plus they gave me a brilliant male:female ratio
Just a warning to anyone else looking at getting them...They can be very VERY agro for their size. I wouldnt recomend putting them in with other cichlids unless you have tonnes and tonnes of hiding spots as they will shread your other fish when they get bigger. But great fish all round.

  6. Small But Fearless
    100%
the fish i got it from livefish was only small around 3cm, and initially was very timid, but after two days of adjustment, it turns out this fish is fearless. He even chasing my fully mature/colour 15cm peacock. So, everyone, it seems ok to buy this small fish, he can look after himself
