The typical Ryukin can be identified by it's pointed head and pronounced hump on it's back, They can come in many colour varieties these days. But Red and White is the most common. The Ryukin is believed to be Chinese in origin, having arrived in Japan from China through the Ryukyu Islands, thus giving the Golfish it's name.
