Sera Nitrite (NO2) Test
Nitrite is highly toxic to fish and should not be detectable in aquariums or garden ponds. It accumulates during the activation phase but decreases once the nitrogen cycle has stabilised. Fish or invertebrates should only be introduced once the nitrogen cycle has stabilised. In a well-established aquarium, high nitrite levels can be caused by decomposition processes, overfeeding, or the introduction of new fish.
