A bright red head and a boldly patterned tail are the standout features of this very popular community fish. Best seen as a school in a planted aquarium with a dark background. Rummynose prefers soft slightly acidic water, their colour may appear washed out if kept in hard water or if the pH is high.

Poor little things were obviously stressed with the travel asPoor little things were obviously stressed with the travel as they didn’t have a spot of colour on them anywhere. Two weeks later and their noses are like little red beacons in the aquarium.

My new favourite fish!I was so happy with this purchase and the service, I placed another order, and also added some plants. They arrived without colour but once settled they soon revealed their wonderful red faces and awesome B&W tails. I’m really enjoying these fish and looking forward to the next 10 arriving.

RacersThese fish look best in a tank where they can race from end to end. They swim in tight formation compared to a lot of other tetras and the colours are a great contrast to other fish. Highly recommended. Thanks, livefish!

Group so wellThese fish are the most acctive and grouping tetra I've ever had.
They start schooling from the 1st second with the silvertop and blue tetras. They are not that scared by larger fish as other shy tetras.
Didn't expect so much liveness they brought to my 170gal tank.Posted on

FantasticThese little fish would have to be our favourite. So colourful. They hang out with all the other Tetras. We have three in the tank and they get along fine with the Guppies and Gouramies.
