Volcainc Ash

A secret blend of Japanese volcanic ash, clays and minerals.
Contains volcanic glass, ferromagnesian minerals, feldspars and quartz. The clay fraction of this Andosol contains allophane and imogolite, and/or humus complexes of Al and Fe together with opaline silica. Besides primary minerals, ferrihydrite, halloysite, kaolinite, gibbsite and various silicates are present.

JAPANESE VOLCANIC ANDOSOL RICH IN HUMIC ACID INCREASES ROOT GROWTH FOR INCREASED ACCESS TO NUTRIENTS IMPROVES PLANTS IMMUNE SYSTEM

Directions:
New Tank: Sprinkle Volcanic Ash evenly into a thin layer over the bottom of aquarium. Any areas intended for planting, build up to double depth. Cover with your substrate of choice, for example river gravel, pebble or sand.

Established Tank: Option for replanting – dig a recess in your substrate and carefully fill with Volcanic Ash and cover. Plant into it.

Option for general mineralisation – push aside a small area of substrate and place Volcanic Ash. Cover with substrate.

Palagonite

Palagonite is a volcanic mineral substance that was created by a rare and unique event, in which hot basalt lava flowed into a freshwater lake in Queensland, Australia, around 20 million years
ago. Palagonisation began as the molten lava, was quenched, forming a rind or coating of volcanic glass, that over time has devitrified from glass into palagonite material.

Extremely rare, it is found in Australia, Iceland and on the planet Mars.
Palagonites’ rich and comprehensive suite of essential nutrients, includes: Silicon, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Carbon, Nitrogen, Cobalt, Nickel, Zinc, Molybdenum, Selenium, makes it the perfect base product for natural plant health.

Laterite

Laterite is a soil and rock type rich in iron and other important minerals. It is formed in hot and wet tropical areas, with far north Queensland in Australia being one of the largest and highest purity deposits on the planet. Australian laterites are of a orange colouration, because of high iron oxide content. Laterite has long been used in the aquarium industry as an excellent plant fertilizer due it’s rich mineral composition, with Australian laterite being considered the world standard.

Established Tank: Option for replanting – dig a recess in your substrate and carefully fill with Laterite and cover. Plant into it.

Option for general mineralisation – push aside a small area of substrate and place Laterite. Cover with substrate.

Iron Sand

Iron Sand Concentrate is collected from a remote tropical island off the coast of Australia. Rich in iron and titanium it was formed from volcanic eruptions that occurred in the Pleistocene epoch (ice age).

The unique properties of this rare volcanic sand offer aquarium plants outstanding access to some of the most important minerals required for healthy growth. Namely, iron.
