Moon Jellyfish Aurelia Aurita (Captive Bred)

Moon jellyfish are one of the most popular types of Jellyfish to keep as pets for the folllwing reasons. *Their opaque (Moon) white colour lights up beautifully when you shine colourful LED lights though them. *They don't tend to out grow their tanks. Potentially they can grow up to 40cm but will stay small in a small tank. *Moon Jellyfish don't have Eyes. So they don't care if you shine crazy coloured lights through them. *Relatively safe to touch. *Their small tentacles won't get caught up in the filter system. *Can be quite forgiving if you miss a water change here and there. Care tips *Try to keep them cool. 18-24c *They feed on plankton in the wild. So Brine Shrimp are great (Frozen, Freezdried, or Freshly hatched. But you can even feed them Rotifers or Cyclops. But my Favorited cheat food is commercial available Coral Food "Snow ect" try and feed them at least once a day. But twice is better. *Moon jellies are relatively easier to keep than fish. But we still recommend regular water testing. *Moon Jellyfish don't require aeration as air can become trapped under the animal causing it to float, resulting in an inability to feed. If air bubbles do get trapped under their Bell just gently roll them over. *Life expectancy is approximately 12months (in the wild and in captivity).
