C123 Corydoras Yellow Cat - Wild Caught 3.5cm

Corydoras C123, often referred to as the Yellow Cat Corydoras, is a striking and less commonly seen species that stands out for its warmer body tones and clean patterning. Wild-caught specimens are especially desirable due to their strong natural coloration and behaviour.

This species displays a soft yellow to golden base colour with darker markings running through the body, creating a clean contrast that sets them apart from more common corydoras. Their fins are typically translucent with subtle shading, and like all corydoras, they actively sift through the substrate using their barbels.

Sexing follows the usual corydoras pattern, with females becoming broader than males. Breeding behaviour involves the typical T-position, with eggs deposited on surfaces around the aquarium.

Tank Recommendations for your Corydoras C123

These fish should always be kept in groups of 5–6 or more, with larger groups bringing out more natural schooling behaviour. A minimum aquarium size of 60 litres is recommended. A soft sandy substrate is ideal to protect their barbels and allow natural foraging behaviour. Driftwood, plants, and shaded areas help them feel secure.
