Also known as the Fresh Water Stone Fish.

Contact with it's spines will cause excruciation pain and medical attention will be required!

The colouration of the Stone Fish is from Dark Brown to to Yellowish Blotches or marbling over it's body.

Mainly found in tidal estuaries and streams along the eastern coast of Australia and are responsible for most fish stings in the upper tidal reaches of NSW and QLD

It has Venomous spines along it's back so you don't want to be stepping on this fish!!!!
