Fish of AwesomeI already had a 30 cm version of this fantastic looking fish. They are as apt at swimming backwards, upside down and vertically as they are at swimming forwards. I have two four inch diameter plastic tubes in which these guys can hide in full view. I primarily fed them live Meal Worms but they also get stuck into the bloodworms and Brine shrimp I put in for the larger tetra's. Surprisingly I also have 10 or so Neon Tetra's which these guys normally love to eat but they haven't yet.
Highly recommend a Black Ghost Knife if you are looking for something different

Awesome, fascinatingOne of my favourite fish. I have two and they dance around each other constantly. When I vacuum my tank they swim around me constantly and try to nibble on my arms and hands, I now try to pat them as they are so friendly! I feed them blood worms which they LOVE. I have heaps of things for them to play in and dont hide at all, however during the day I dont put the lights on only natural light soon as I out the lights on my fish know it's feeding time. Highly recommend!

Awesome FishThese fish are so entertaining to watch moving about like a Spanish dancer. They swim backwards and forwards and like to hide during the day. Mine is in a 70 Litre tank and has grown half the length of it in the 3 years I have owned him. I feed him flakes, frozen blood worms and he nibbles wafers as well. The only problem with this fish is he is extremely aggressive and has eaten several varieties of my other fish and likes to take out their eyes, also he ate all my plants so I have decided to remove him from my tank.

Could watch these all dayWe have had three knife fish. The first two we brought not knowing anything about them except they looked cool. Unknowingly they died because knife fish are territorial and are best kept one at a time. Because they are scaleless they are also prone to disease which claimed the second one. The third one we got is now a massive fish and one of our pride and joy fish in our home. They will eat any small fish they can catch ... we found this out when all our guppies disappeared. Also very picky ... our current one won't eat flakes just bloodworms and brine shrimp. Have yet to train the current one to hand feed but pretty easy to do ... had one of my first ones readily doing it at feeding time. Can be a bit tricky this fish to get to flourish but if you are experienced with keeping tropicals you won't find the transition to a knife too difficult. Not a beginner fish but definitely one you want to own at least once in your life. Also they grow to 3 ft in length so should plan a big tank from the outset if you want to keep this guy long term.

Best fish everI bought mine as a tiny fry and put him in increasingly larger tanks as he grew. They become your best friend after while .
