The Tandanus Catfish, also known as the Eel-Tailed Catfish, is probably Australia's most famous and popular native catfish species. This is such a fascinating and unique species which really should be way more popular worldwide. They are a great alternative to some the tank buster catfish available in the hobby and have a much more peaceful demeanour. Aside from being a popular aquarium fish amongst predator and native aquarium keepers, these are a great aquaponics, sports and table fish as well.

Native Catfish - Tandanus tandanusNew fish arrived from Livefish.com. (All arrived Fit and well)
Received 3 x Tandanus tandanus (Eeel Tailed catfish) and 100 x Native Freshwater shrimp.
Star Track Express picked up from Bundaberg 04 June 2013, 14:49PM and they arrived at my home in Sydney 06 June 2013, 09:55
That's a good delivery time, bust best of all, The Catfish and Shrimp arrived alive and well (No casualties).
Live fish.com were even good enough to add a small heat pack that kept the little Catfish warm and happy.
This is my third order from Live fish and I'm now a permament customer.
Livefish.com, thankyou for making all my purchases a pleasure; you guys are the live fish experts in Australia.
Thankyou.

Love themI love my tandanus catfish. I put one in the tank from a pet shop here in Ballarat with one from live fish. Sadly the one from the petshop died. Tandanus will eat all most anything you give them and are fine with temperatures as low as 5 degrees (winter in Ballarat is about -10 degrees right now)

AmazingI ordered from liverish several months ago. The tandanus are lively and energetic. Don't keep with fish with scales or that are small enough to fit in your catfishes mouth as they will be eaten. My catfish enjoyed eating my goldfish so he's with another tandanus right now.

Still greatOrdered 2 fish 6 months ago sadly 1 died but other is alive and happy. BE AWARE these catfish are poisonous and could really harm you so when cleaning the tank put them in a separate tank
