Easily one of the worlds most popular catfish species the Bristlenose pleco is an excellent addition to any aquarium. The Bristlenose pleco quickly rose to popularity as it is an excellent algae eater and is regarded as an essential clean up crew for freshwater tanks. It is also a very peaceful fish that breeds easily and stays at a relatively small size in comparison to other plecos.

  1. very happy

When I originally placed my order I was at first skeptical as I didn't think that the delivery would be as quick as it was and I was dreading to think how many would possibly die in transit. I must say I was extremely impressed as it took 48 hours from the time the email was sent to state that my order was on its way and ALL arrived alive. Only two died within 24 hours of placing them in the tank but as one was a guppy and the other a molly I was far from concerned. The more expensive fish travel very well and are going very well. It has been over 7 days since the fish arrived.

And let me tell u they went above and beyond.
Not only were the fish very healthy when they had arrived but the shipping speed from the moment I received a message to confirm the order had been sent around 14hrs later I received the items.

  5. My first mail order fish!
    100%
I ordered two of these a few months ago and they are doing very well, despite my rather shambolic attempt at drip acclimation when they first arrived.

They looked a bit like tiny angelic tadpoles (so cute!) and they've grown a lot since I first got them.

I've kept fish for many years, but these are my first bristle-nose catfish. I've found them easy to care for and a joy to watch. :)

If you're thinking of getting them, please read up on their care, and make sure you have everything they need. They probably won't want to eat anything for a day or two after arrival, just make sure they have some driftwood to chew on, and you can always try and tempt them with a blanched slice of baby marrow after a couple of days. Make sure there are plenty of shady/dark hiding spots in you tank.

Very cool addition to the tank.
