Where most Lake Malawi Cichlid tanks consist of various coloured peacock cichlids, the Blue Dolphin Cichlid can make for a great and interesting addition. Its larger body size, vibrant blue colour, and its unique facial structure make it a popular addition to mixed African cichlid aquariums. It gets the name blue dolphin because of its variations of blue through the body which range from light metallic blues to deep dark blues through the fins, along with this as these fish age they develop a prolific nuchal hump.

HARD WORK GETTING APPROVALJust received my order including 2 Blue Dolphins, i live up in Darwin and they are very strict on what fish are allowed, livefish worked hard to workout what i was allowed supplied permit form and delivered all fish very healthy THANKS LIVEFISH GREAT JOB VERY HAPPY

They were a good buyWe brought two of these fish. They have fitted in well to our tank. They are cheeky and will flit among our larger fish to grab food. They have coloured up nicely. I can't wait till they get bigger. Lovely colouration and I nice little fish.

Great Fish and Great ServiceRecieved my 2 dolphins today. They did arrive very pale and white but healthy. Within the hour they had regained their colour, eaten and had established their home in my tank. Thanks livefish. Will definately be ordering again.

excellantThese fish are amazing, they arrived healthy but dull, almost white. after 1 week the were dark grey/blue. after 3 months these fish have grown magnificiantly. and have nealry reached maturity. These fish adapted there bautiful blue natural colour. they fit well into my tank with 5 electic yellows and 2 electric blue's.

Still a juvenileStill got his juvenile spots and yet to develop a hump on his head but has grown very quickly. Interesting fish. Swims up and down the side of the tank all day.

excellent tank additionsi bought 2 of these guys, i received a male and a female and they are excellent additions to my tank.they have been with me for around 6 weeks and they have almost tripled in size. they always stay together, coincidentally smack bang in the middle of the tank. they like to play with the gravel, moving it from the floor to on top of a rock then back to where they found it. overall an interesting fish to watch and they are quite well behaved with my other fish

great fishLevi and Alvin are great fish, they have grown very fast in very short time. Levi stands up to fish 2 or 3 times his size. They have developed a beautiful coloring, and are starting to develop the hump on head. I like their shape in the water its a nice contrasts to all the other fish in my tank. They get along well with each other and are very interesting to watch.
