BeautifulBeautiful looking fish! I bought a pair that arrived healthy to WA. They have been quite shy, but are starting to settle in and come out for food.

Well worth itGreat fish, got this guy for my community cichlid tank - came safe n' sound in a styrofoam box and looked amazing as soon as i put him into the tank! Cant wait for him to get his mature colours and really look good.
The fish i got is a huge softie - wich is exactly what i was looking for. Hasnt shown any aggression to even the neon tetra's (about half its size, dither fish until they are looked upon as food) but seems to follow the dwarf gourami's arround, when not swimming around his driftwood and java fern.
Overall - Well worth fish to have for any medium -> large aquariumsPosted on

Correction of descriptionThe description for this species needs to be corrected its a South American cichlid native to Venezuela and the island of Trinidad.
It is one of the more peaceful of the South American cichlids and can be kept in a community aquarium with less aggressive American cichlidsPosted on
