Electric Yellows can grow up to 15cm in captivity. They will live for several years if well maintained.
These fish will basically eat anything including flake foods small pellets, and occasional frozen brine shrimp. As with most Rift Lake cichlids they will benefit from the inclusion of vegetable based food in their diet.
Electric Yellows are a suitable companion for any African tank set-up. They are placid and calm but they are big eaters.
These fish are not aggressive, particularly when compared to other cichlids.
However, mixing with small species should be avoided.
These fish are a great addition to any Cichlid Aquarium and are one of the easiest to keep.
