These fish typically display the classic goldfish body shape, with a rounded profile and flowing fins. Colouration can vary widely depending on the breeding lines they originate from, with common colours including orange, white, red, black, and combinations of these. Because these fish are culled from selective breeding programs, there can be a lot of variation in appearance, which makes them interesting to watch as they grow. Breeding goldfish is relatively straightforward when conditions are right.
