A globally popular fish due to its amazing algae-eating capabilities, the Siamese algae eater is a must-have fish for planted aquariums. Siamese algae eaters are essential clean-up crew members for well-planted tanks, ensuring that string and hair algae never get out of control. These fish are not exactly the most colourful fish and have earthy browns, silvers, and jet-black stripes from head to tail which gives them their characteristic look.

2 eaten 1 survivedAn update.
The two that were eaten... well that's just tough luck.
One has managed to survive and is quite large now.
If they were sold larger they would survive better in my tank.Posted on

Great fishThey were tiny when I got them, was worried another fish would eat them by accident. But they grew fast and turn into attractive and very efficient algae eaters. Two of them keep my 200L tank spotless and if I drop in some plants that do have algae on them from my other tank, they're onto it straight away and clean it up ridiculously fast without damaging leaves. Make sure you give them some zucchini to munch on :)

Awsome tank cleanerI just love these little guys! They keep your tank squeaky clean and are a nice addition to any tank.
They get along with all the fish in my tank and like to be in a group. Nice hardy fish and good "housekeepers"Posted on
